I spend a few hours working from home each day, on the computer, in case you haven't noticed. I was telling a friend last week that since I have started maternity leave from my classroom position (almost up, sniff sniff!), I have felt somewhat lost in ways, as normally the bulk of my days are planned and organised in my day planner. To say I adore my classroom day planner, is an understatement.
It got me thinking that perhaps I just need to start organising my life at home, and online, a little like I would in the classroom. So I whipped up a planner, and I am going to test it out!
I have tried online planners, a calendar thingy on my phone, adding details to my diary... nothing seems to really work for me - so I am hoping this will be the ticket!
I have made it with a wide border on opposite edges, so that you can collate it and open it up to create a full week spread.
I have put 3 main sections for each day - morning, day and night. I am going to write things that I PLAN to do in blue, and things I actually get done in RED. That will help me start to see where my time is going. I will also note appointments, family plans etc
I have put a large space down for ideas, as I get lots! And I like to doodle ideas too!
On the second page is room to record stats and tracking information. I want start to keep track of progress I am making with my online stores and with social media. It is something I have never really bothered to do, but always wanted to start! I NEED to keep better track of requests and jobs I promise people. It is something I know I need to do better. I just forget if its not written down!
I designed four different week plans for this coming month, and will revise the layout after using them to post some more next month.
I would love to share them with you too, and hopefully they may make your days a little more organised too!
